Haveli Gokul Niwas is the best place in India for Bird Watching, as all the Bird Watching lakes are in the vicinity of Haveli, at a distance of 10 to 15 Kms.

Kisan Kareri village and Lake is at a distance of 11 Kms from Haveli Gokul Niwas. Kisan Kareri Lake attracts a large number of birds during the winters.The villagers do not use the water from these lakes and ponds for irrigatory purposes so that the water level remain consistent throughout the year. Fishing is not permitted here so that the birds can have enough food to live.The village does not just offers a good bird watching experience but also teaches you a new take on human-bird relationship”.

Mangalwar Lake is approximately 18 Kms from Haveli Gokul Niwas, on NH-08 between Chittorgarh and Udaipur. This is morning birding site , though raptor enthusiast may visit this wetland in the evening too!, many birds including winter visitor Northern Shoveler, Greater Painted Snipes, Flamingoes etc are seen here.

Badwai Lake, situated at a distance of 14 Kms from Haveli Gokul Niwas. Badwai Lake has become an online hotspot for bird watching within the European tourism circuit for quite some time now. The tour operators from Udaipur are selling packages of these places online.

Menal Lake is at a distance of 40 Kms from Haveli Gokul Niwas on Udaipur NH-08.
